These cake batter protein bites are easy to make with no mess – all you need is a few basic ingredients and one bowl! Easy peasy.
Love that sweet taste of birthday cake – even before it’s baked? Sneaking a taste of the cake batter is something we can all relate to. Now you can enjoy that indulgent flavor guilt free with these protein bites. The flavor is also reminiscent of sugar cookie dough, thanks to the almond extract. Made with coconut butter, you won’t be able to resist these as a perfect snack or pre-workout fuel.
3 tablespoons coconut butter (creamy cashew flavor), softened to a spreadable consistency.
1 tablespoon coconut flour
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon almond milk (more or less to achieve desired consistency for rolling into balls)
mix together coconut butter and extracts, plus about a teaspoon of almond milk.
Add in protein powder and coconut flour, mix well until the mixture resembles cookie dough. Because all scoop sizes of protein powder are different, and the consistency of your coconut butter will be slightly different depending on temperature, you may need to add a bit more or less of the almond milk. The key is to get them to the consistency where you can easily roll them into bite size balls.
Once the balls are formed, chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before eating. Enjoy!
